What makes Rosamunde Sausages so special?

Rosamunde began as a small sausage shop next to famed Toronado beer bar in San Francisco’s Lower Haight neighborhood in 1998. The menu was simply the best sausages that could be bought locally. Read more about our story here.

Where are your sausages made?

All our sausages are made in a USDA-certified facility, just like the famous sausages we serve at our restaurant in San Francisco

Are your sausages spicy?

We only have 3 flavors of sausages that are spicy (ranging from mild to very spicy): our Smoked Hot Beer Sausage contains whole spices (medium spicy), our flavorful Hot Italian Sausage (spicy), and our Chicken Habanero with a nice habanero flavor (very spicy).

Are your sausages gluten free?

All of our sausages are gluten free except for the Smoked Hot Beer Sausage, which contains beer.

How long does it take to thaw a pack of sausages?

The best way to thaw sausages is overnight in the refrigerator. Simply place the unopened pack on a plate or paper towel and leave to thaw in the refrigerator for 6 hours or overnight.

For a quick method, place 1 or more packs unopened in a large bowl or stockpot filled with cold tap water. Let thaw for 20-40 minutes.

Why do you freeze your sausages?

Quickly freezing the sausages as they are produced ensures the quality of the product is locked in and suspended until thawed. Once you receive your Rosamunde sausage, keep them frozen until the day or day before cooking. We think you’ll find our sausages to be best the moment you thaw them.
